This isn't your usual digital-readiness test

Three things decide whether a company can stand on its own today:

Systems thinking

Whether there's transparent order in how things run, or everything lives in people's heads and scattered tools.

Digitalisation

Whether the essentials are visible in one place, up to date, or you have to piece them together from spreadsheets.

Culture

Whether empowerment, leading by example and steady team-building are the norm.

At the intersection of these three factors, this assessment helps you evaluate how ready your company is to run on its own — so you can focus on creative work, your family or your next dream while the company keeps going.

What do you get for these eight minutes?

In eight minutes you'll see three things more clearly that, in daily operations, you often only sense:

1
How much depends on you today.

Could you travel for two weeks without having to watch your phone? Your answers reveal what your company could handle without you — and what's still too tightly bound to you personally.

2
Where it's hard to see the operation as a whole.

You'll find out which areas keep information in spreadsheets, messages or people's heads — instead of in one place, current and reliable.

3
Where to ease the load first.

You don't have to fix everything at once. The report shows the one areawhere a small, well-chosen change can bring noticeable relief.

In the end you don't get generic advice, but a personalised report: a picture of how your company runs, drawn from your own answers, with area-by-area feedback and one obvious first step. You can download the report and receive a shareable certificate. And whatever you note about your own company along the way, you get back in the report.

You'll also learn which of four situations best describes your company today: Formálódó, Kibontakozó, Hangolódó or Kiteljesedett — and what that means for the period ahead.

Meanwhile, something rarely visible from the thick of daily work also crystallises: how transferable, transparent and improvable your company's operation is today. In our model catalogue, the flywheel effectshows why it isn't one big breakthrough that moves you forward, but the momentum of a well-built operation. This isn't just theory: the questions come from your everyday reality, so you'll likely recognise yourself while answering.

Two futures to choose from

If things stay as they are

Five years from now you're still the company's load-bearing pillar: every decision runs through you, the phone rings even on holiday.

If you build it to run on its own

The company stands on its own, your colleagues are independent — and you decide how you spend your days.

The machine turns; the maker rests.

The only difference between the two is whether the system for self-running operation has been built. This assessment shows which future you're closer to today.

You may want both — one out of a sense of personal importance, the other to be free. We recommend the second; after all, that's why you became an entrepreneur.

What we assess: Visibility · Autonomy · Transferability

A self-running company rests on three pillars:

Visibility

You see your company — its state, its processes — as a whole. Not in your head, not in ten spreadsheets, but in one place, up to date.

Autonomy

It runs by itself: the team carries the operation independently, you don't push it every morning — and then all day.

Transferability

The system and the knowledge are tangible enough that you can step out if you want — or hand it over.

The assessment shows which pillar your company leans on and how much, how much of it you still have to hold yourself — and where you have the most room to move.

A few fresh numbers — and what's behind them

These numbers aren't meant to scare. They show, rather, that many companies struggle with the same thing: the tools, spreadsheets, messages and good intentions are all there, but the operation doesn't yet come together into one clear, manageable picture.

65%

More than 65% of Hungarian employees already use some AI tool at work — yet at 80% of companies it has never officially come up. In other words, the technology is probably already in your company; you just can't see it.

Medián–ESET, 2025
61 → 21%

61% of small and medium-sized companies already use some AI. But only 21% feel a real, meaningful impact — for most it stalls at the basics.

OECD, 2026
58% vs 23%

Where there's no unified business-management system, there's a 58% chance the company rates itself as a laggard. Where such a system exists, it's 23%. A missing system roughly doubles the lag.

Hungarian SME research, 2026
27%

Seven in ten companies already use some digital tool — but only 27% have a considered plan behind it. Tools yes; system and direction rarely.

Hungarian SME research, 2026
35%

About a third (35%) of Hungarian companies use an integrated business-management system — the EU average is around 43%. So the lag doesn't start with AI, but much lower down: where operations still live in spreadsheets and heads, not in one system.

KSH / Eurostat

The shared lesson isn't that every company needs a new tool right away. Much more that you first have to see: where information breaks, where too much stays in heads, and where the first, well-chosen improvement would have the greatest impact.

Five things worth seeing clearly before you start developing

1
The biggest risk isn't the technology — it's that the company stops without you.

If every important decision ends up with you, the software isn't the bottleneck — it's that there's no system to take daily operations out of your head.

2
A tool no one uses is worth nothing.

Most rollouts fail not because the software is bad, but because people don't adopt it. That's why the assessment looks not only at what tools you have, but also at how open the organisation is to them.

3
Where you start matters.

At one company sales is the weak point, at another production is opaque, at a third everything is in the owner's head. The assessment shows which area would bring the fastest returnin your case — so you don't spend where it matters least.

4
Technology accelerates — but doesn't replace clean operation.

A good tool can help a lot if it knows what operation to keep and speed up. But if information still lives in islands today, a new system easily becomes just another place to watch. So it's worth seeing the operation clearly first, and only then deciding on the tool.

5
If you'll apply for funding later, a good application also starts with an accurate picture.

If you later want to bring in grant funding, this assessment is useful preparation too: it helps you see more clearly what's worth developing and what isn't. It doesn't replace the official state assessment, but gives a practical picture of your operation you can rely on for a later development decision.

At the end you'll find out which of the four situations is yours

Formálódó

The company works — largely because you hold it together. Many decisions pile up with you, a lot of knowledge lives in heads, and the operation often needs your attention even when you'd rather step back. There's a lot of room to move forward from here.

Kibontakozó

The team has the strength and the will, but there isn't yet enough shared system underneath. Work runs in several places: spreadsheets, messages, heads. The next step is connecting these, so goodwill doesn't always end up with you.

Hangolódó

Visibility and the system are already in place in many areas, but decisions and responsibility still often return to you. The dashboard is visible; now the order of handover needs to be built, so control remains with less daily intervention.

Kiteljesedett

Culture and system carry the company together. Knowledge doesn't live in one person's head, responsibility appears in several places, and you're no longer indispensable for daily firefighting. From here the question is what you turn your freed-up attention to.

How does it work?

1

Answer the 21 questions

No registration, no login. Four answer options per question — answer by feel, there are no wrong answers. If a concrete example from your own company comes to mind along the way, you can jot it into a note field.

2

See instantly where your company stands today

At the end, you'll see which of the four situations describes your company today — through the two lenses of organisational culture and digital system.

3

Get the report — and one obvious first step

After you enter your email address, we send the full report, broken down into eight areas. You'll see not only where your company stands today, but also which area to tackle first for noticeable relief. If you need a more detailed, more personal picture, the system diagnostics can be a natural next step from here.

Frequently asked questions

Is it really free?

Yes, completely. No hidden costs, no "premium version". We won't be pushy — after the report we email a few thoughts on how you could move forward based on your result; you can unsubscribe from these anytime with one click.

How long does it take?

Eight minutes on average. 21 questions, each with four answer options. You don't have to look anything up or calculate — you answer based on what you know about your company.

What exactly does the assessment look at?

Eight areas of your operation: vision and goal transparency, culture and leading by example, sharing responsibility, consistent communication, systematised operation, visibility, customer acquisition and handling, and the role of AI. You get separate feedback on each, and we show where to ease the load first.

What happens to my data?

We use your answers solely to prepare the report. We don't pass them to third parties. We use your email address only to send the report and — if you subscribe — for the newsletter. You can unsubscribe anytime.

Does this replace the official DKF assessment for grants?

No. If you're applying for funding, the official state assessment must be completed in the kkvdigital.dkf.hu system. Ours doesn't replace it — it gives a practical picture of what's worth developing and what isn't.

Can I fill it in as an employee?

Yes, but the most accurate result comes when the company leader or business decision-maker who sees the whole company completes it.

This isn't theory

Across the systems built so far — from manufacturer to service provider — the goal was always the same: for the owner to step out of daily operations, and for the company to keep going without them.

Kő András — behind the assessment

Kő András, founder of TeljesEgy

A leader for 20 years, I taught management theory for five, and worked as a customer-service innovation expert in banking. I trained as a programmer, became an economist, was an innovation lead — and digitalisation accompanied me throughout.

I created this assessment because over twenty years I saw the same thing again and again: the leader senses the company has outgrown its old way of working, but can't always see clearly where to change first. Meanwhile most decisions, questions and blockers still end up with them.

I'm not trying to sell software with this assessment, but to give visibility. A clearer picture of where the operation stands today, what holds it up, what slows it — and where it could be eased so control isn't lost, only moved to a better place.
